This adapter plugs into the proprietary 3-pin port available on many Nikon SB flash units (see flash listing below) and provides flash sync for a Pocket Wizard, Skyport, or CyberSync receiver.  The other end of the cord is a gold plated, right angle mono miniphone plug (¹/₈" – 3.5mm – 2 conductor)

The primary configuration would be to free up the PC port of the flash unit so an accessory external power pack like the Nikon SD-8A or FlashZebra.com Item #0263 can utilize that free PC port.  This adapter works with the Nikon SB-24, SB-25, SB-26, SB-28, SB-28DX, SB-80DX, and SB-800 flash units.
