One of the primary purposes of the cord is to connect a CyberSync transmitter to a camera equipped with a screwlock PC port on the chassis.  This is very useful when the camera's hotshoe is already occupied with a flash unit, preventing the CyberSync transmitter from being mounted on the camera's hotshoe.  See this link for a list of cameras that will accept the screwlock PC connector.

This cord will NOT work with the Elinchrom Skyport transmitter.  The sync port on the Skyport is confined so it will not accept the Right Angle SubMiniPhone Plug (2.5mm) end on this cord.

This cord will also NOT work on a Pocket Wizard, Radio Popper JrX, Skyport, or CyberSync Receiver.
